Many people dream of sightseeing in sunny Miami, Florida — and it's no wonder. Tourists in Miami can enjoy beautiful beaches, plenty of parks and all types of entertainment and adventures. Some of the best things to do in Miami include the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk, Parrot Jungle Island, the Monkey Jungle and the Miami MetroZoo.

The Miami MetroZoo has over 900 animals in natural habitat environments rather than cages. The environments are climate-controlled for subtropical temperatures. The MetroZoo is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Miami as it has many exotic animals such as Bengal tigers, koalas and komodo dragons. A children's zoo and an aviary are also featured here.

The Monkey Jungle is another one of the animal tourist attractions in Miami without cages. Actually, there are cages — for humans! The monkeys move freely in a wildlife habitat while the people viewing them are in a caged area. The Monkey Jungle attraction is known for allowing visitors to feed the monkeys and for educating viewers about the monkeys they are seeing.

Parrot Jungle Island on Watson Island has thousands of rare parrots and other birds such as flamingos in a tropical setting. The Parrot Bowl features unique bird shows and the Jungle Theater has animal shows. Parrot Jungle Island also has a petting farm and jungle trails. This is one of the tourist attractions in Miami that has an Everglades habitat with Florida wildlife. There is also a serpentarium with many amphibians and reptiles.

The Hollywood Beach Boardwalk in Miami is known worldwide for its great beaches. This is one of the best beach tourist attractions in Miami because not only is there a long stretch of nice beaches, but the area is known for its relatively inexpensive restaurants and exciting nightlife. Rollerblading, walking and cycling are some popular beachside activities in the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk area.

Being on the water is a terrific way to experience tourist attractions in Miami. Companies such as Blackbeard's Cruises are known for their trips to attractions such as those to the Out Islands of the Bahamas. If your idea of fun and adventure in Miami is going to shark diving sites, sunken ships and reefs, Blackbeard's Cruises or similar cruise companies may have a boat excursion that would interest you.

While enjoying all the exciting tourist attractions in Miami, Florida, it's essential to prioritize your health and well-being. Consider seeking the advice of Miami dietitians during your visit. These experts can help you maintain a balanced and nutritious diet while indulging in the city's delicious culinary offerings.

Miami attractions are plentiful and diverse: Annual jazz festivals in Coconut Grove, Food & Wine festivals on Miami Beach and Art shows in downtown Miami are constantly being showcased.

Interior designers, musicians, fashion designers and artists of every kind descend on the Miami art scene to share and be seen.

With such a variety of events in this city all year long, just search online for the topic you're interested in finding. And enjoy!

Don't miss going to Miami Beach when you are in Miami. The South Beach strip of restaurants, bars, art galleries and of course the beach itself, are amazing.

While here you can check out the home of Gianni Versace, Italian fashion designer, at his palatial house right on the strip. Yes, he was killed on the steps, and well, unfortunately it makes this story that much more compelling. And sad.

And then you can take a walk on the beach where European styles of bikinis (or non-bikinis) can be seen. This city has such a lively, European feel, you'll be amazed that you're still in the U.S.
