The Henry Doorly Zoo is known worldwide as one of the premier tourist attractions in Omaha. It includes the Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom Pavilion, Scott Aquarium and the Hubbard Gorilla Valley. The Henry Doorly Zoo has natural habitats such as desert, rainforest and prairie environments.

The Strategic Air and Space Museum features aircraft that helped lead the United States to victory in World War II. The Museum also has a children's hands-on gallery, changing exhibits and a theater that seats 200 people. The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird aircraft in a glass-paneled case is a feature attraction. If you find that you're hungry during your visit, you can find something to eat at the Museum’s “Plane Food” snack bar.

Lauritzen Gardens has a serene forest trail as well as pools and waterfalls. The Gardens feature a children's garden, herb garden, Victorian garden and many other types of gardens.. Lauritzen is known to keep adding new gardens.

The River City Star is one of the most popular attractions in Omaha for children and adults alike. It's a sternwheeler riverboat on the Omaha riverfront. The River City Star is known to run between April and October. The boat has four levels and room for more than 350 people as it tours the Missouri River.
