NordicTrack® is a popular producer of exercise equipment. This company, founded by Edward Pauls of Chaska, Minnesota, became world renowned after the release of the cross-country ski simulator in the late 1980's. Their equipment is well known for its durability and effectiveness, especially in comparison with the price. NordicTrack® produces a large amount of machines for aerobic exercise, including the elliptical, treadmill, trampoline, stair stepper and exercise bike.

The elliptical is the most popular exercise machine produced by this well known company. This machine simulates cross country skiing using a 22 inch (55.8 meters) commercial stride length. The elliptical machine is used to strengthen and tone the muscles of the calves, thighs, arms, back and stomach, as well as to burn calories. Some models of the elliptical, such as the A.C.T., have preloaded iFit workouts, the ability to store your workout history and iPod compatibility.

Running or walking on treadmills is the preferred form of exercise for many people. The treadmills made by NordicTrack® accommodate many types of people. Some models, such as the Professional Series 4000, have a 15% incline, allowing you to raise the platform to simulate walking or running on hills. Many varieties also have built in televisions, iPod compatibility, and preset workouts. Like most treadmills, this variety can accommodate up to 350 pounds (158.7 kg).

The trampoline manufactured by NordicTrack® is recommended for use with rebounding exercises. It gives a low-impact workout while firming and strengthening your body. The trampoline measures 36 inches (91.4 cm) in diameter. This machine folds to a compact size for easy storage.

The NordicTrack® stair stepper is loved by many people, due to its small size, yet intense workout. It fits comfortably into a corner of the living room, and can operate with or without the use of electrical power. A couple of the versions, such as the MTN 740, can connect to the Internet to access iFit.com, where you can workout to programs designed by personal trainers.

Bikes are a great form of exercise to develop cardiovascular endurance. The C3 si, produced by NordicTrack®, is a recumbent bicycle, with a cushioned seat, making it a great machine for people with lower back problems. It provides an intense workout, offering multiple resistance settings and a variety of pre programmed workouts. Like most of the modern equipment produced by this company, it is set up for iFit workouts, and is iPod compatible.
