The world’s most expensive bottle of wine is a 2009 Bordeaux from Château Margaux, which retailed for $195,000 US Dollars (USD) in 2013. It is sold at the Dubai International Airport. Part of what makes the wine so expensive is the size of the bottle, which holds 3 gallons (12 liters) instead of the standard 25 ounces (750 milliliters). The high price tag for the Château Margaux’s 2009 Bordeaux also includes a first class flight to privately tour the vineyard and a dinner with the maker of the wine. Only six bottles of the wine were produced, and only half were released to the public for sale.
