The Scottish beer Armageddon is believed to be the world's strongest with a 65% alcohol content. Most beers are around 4% - 8% alcohol content by volume. Armageddon beer is produced by the Brewmeister Brewery which uses a freeze fermentation method to achieve the high alcohol content.
